Meet the Chef
Head Chef Simon Hodgson has been cooking up a storm since he was just 19 – that’s when he secured his first sous chef role. Since then Simon has become an acclaimed chef, who’s passionate about creating traditional cuisine with innovative twists. New World and Asian accents infuse his dishes, as do the classical flavours of Britain and Berkshire.

I’m particularly interested in new trends with ingredients and food fashion and love adding my own twist to new dishes and menu ideas.
I enjoy the autonomy I have at Donnington Grove and being able to pass on the challenge to the team to be creative, inspirational and to come up with new ideas too.

From weddings feasts to lavish events
We don’t like to say no. Instead, we make dreams come true, suggesting quirky twists that transform ideas into something memorable and unique.
Our events are always distinctive and individual. We create everything from bespoke 6-course wedding breakfast menus, to a hog roast and cheese selection for the evening guests.
Then there are the traditional, lavish summer picnics and buffets, and the themed golf days, when we host the Euro Pro Tour.
